Essential Job Duties We’re seeking a Part-Time Human Resources Specialist to support key HR functions that keep our college running smoothly. In this role, you’ll manage critical HR activities for assigned departments—supporting hiring, payroll, onboarding, and employee support—while ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal policies. You’ll work closely with departmental HR partners, college leadership, and university offices as a trusted resource and problem-solver.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Faculty, Staff (EPS/SHRA), student workers and temp professional hiring, onboarding, payroll, and performance tracking Ensure I-9 compliance, leave monitoring, and temporary employment coordination Maintain accurate personnel records and manage HR system transactions Serve as a point of contact for departments and liaise with central HR offices Provide guidance on HR policies and assist with resolving HR-related issues If you’re an experienced HR professional who values flexibility, enjoys solving problems, and finds purpose in supporting others—especially in a mission-driven, collaborative environment—we encourage you to apply. Qualifications Minimum Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Other Required Qualifications Excellent communication, composition, customer service, organizational, decision making, and analytical skills. Working knowledge of HR policy, procedure, and laws. Ability to direct personnel to available and applicable human resource resources. Demonstrated ability to maintain attention to details, prioritize and meet deadlines, and handle confidential matters accurately and discretely.
