Job Description

Senior HRIS Analyst – Workday Onsite – Raleigh, North Carolina (4 days on site a week)

Overview:

We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Workday HRIS Analyst to lead the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday across multiple functional areas. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with HR, IT, and system vendors to enhance process efficiency, maintain data integrity, and ensure seamless functionality within the HR tech ecosystem. This position is central to ensuring Workday delivers maximum value across the organization and will contribute to ongoing system evolution, end-user support, and cross-functional initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, test, and configure Workday modules such as HCM, Compensation, Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits, aligning them with evolving business needs. Provide technical troubleshooting, including identifying system flaws, analyzing issues, and implementing timely solutions. Manage system integrations with third-party platforms, including payroll, benefits, and timekeeping systems. Lead and deliver Workday enhancement projects, version updates, and implementation of new functionality. Train and support HR and business users on Workday processes and functionality, ensuring knowledge transfer and user adoption. Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports and dashboards using Report Writer, composite and matrix reports, and calculated fields. Partner with HR to streamline processes, implement best practices, and maximize efficiency within the HRIS ecosystem. Conduct routine audits and ensure high standards of data integrity across the platform. Oversee access and permissions by configuring Workday security roles, domains, and user-based settings to align with compliance standards. Support internal clients by developing ad hoc reports and resolving system-related requests. Maintain thorough documentation of HRIS configuration, change logs, and process guidelines. Participate in Workday user groups and remain current on system trends, tools, and industry innovations. Support the implementation of strategic HR programs by contributing to project planning and operational execution. Qualifications & Experience Professional experience in HRIS, Human Resources, or a similar function. hands-on experience configuring multiple Workday functional areas, such as HCM, Absence, Benefits, Time Tracking, Security, and Reporting. Proficient in building EIB templates, data loading, and complex Excel operations. Demonstrated expertise in Workday security design, including role-based and user-based access models. Experience in Workday reporting, including custom dashboards, calculated fields, and matrix reporting. Knowledge of statistical or data analysis and experience using Excel and Workday reporting tools.
