Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications•Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Five years of payroll processing and/or PayrollHRIS systems support or other related experience.
Bachelor’s degree.
Demonstrated use of and experience with relational query reporting tools.
Ability to translate functional business requirements into technical specifications.
Solid understanding of the programs and systems used for effective Payroll operations.
Advanced problem solving, resolution and analytical skills and the ability to prioritize and manage time.
Able to work under pressure of time constraints and ability to multi-task.
Effective communication with Finance, HR, and Information Technology teams.
Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations and compliance.
Experience with federal/state payroll/employment regulations, and Payroll policies & procedures.
Basic understanding of common project management methodologies and terms.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications.

American Payroll Association certification preferred.

Systems and Operations
Maintain and support the Oracle E-Business Suite Payroll module.
Configure the systems, as needed, for new earnings, deductions, employer liabilities, natural account rules, new tax agencies and new regulations.
Identify and resolve complex issues; manage and implement changes to processes as needed due to policy, procedure, or technology changes.
Troubleshoot system errors while acting as a liaison between Payroll, Finance Center, Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Information Technology & Consulting.
Responsible for testing related to system upgrades, patching and enhancements, including detailed review of payroll testing results for all payroll related systems, including Oracle, Vertex, Sprintax Calculus and ADP.
Identify tasks that build efficiencies, automation standardization, and adoption of best practices regarding PayrollHRIS analytics and reporting.
Document processes, issues, and testing results in clear written and/or verbal communication methods.
Serve as Payroll/HRIS subject matter expert for implementation of new system. Percentage Of Time
