Colt is looking for a highly organized and proactive HR person who will also provide essential support to our payroll and accounting departments. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and external partners. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage projects independently, exercise sound judgment when seeking guidance, and take the initiative to thrive in a dynamic work environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Oversee the hiring and termination processes. Process I-9 forms, employment verifications, and background checks. Manage all aspects of employee benefits, including enrollment, changes, communications with employees, and liaising with the benefits broker. Ensure compliance with all benefits reporting requirements. Administer the 401(k) system and process weekly contributions in a timely manner. Collaborate with the 401(k) Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and Investment Advisor. Provide support for payroll processing using Paychex Flex, also ensuring payroll compliance. Plan and coordinate employee activities and engagement initiatives. Review and update Employee Handbooks as needed. Develop and implement HR policies. Manage leaves of absence and ensure appropriate documentation and compliance. Address and resolve employee relations issues in a timely and effective manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of HR/Benefits experience Benefits Administration (required) Payroll Processing (required) Accounting experience Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics NAV is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) Strong research skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate keen attention to detail This role requires On Site work 5 days per week at our location in Merrimack, NH Pay rate: $30 from Personality Traits for
