Summary:
Supports the Director of Labor Relations by providing comprehensive labor relations services across the organization. This role involves assisting with collective bargaining, managing grievances, and offering day-to-day labor relations advice. The coordinator will work closely with the Director of Labor Relations, union representatives, human resources and managers to ensure effective communication and resolution of labor-related issues.
Essential Duties:

Collective Bargaining Support:
Assist the Labor Relations Director in the collective bargaining process, including drafting proposals and other documentation, participating in negotiations and coordinating the implementation of changes in collective agreement. •
Grievance Management:
Help manage the grievance process, ensuring timely and fair resolution of disputes. •
Labor Relations Management:
Interact directly with union representatives, liaise between unions and management and develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with union counterparts. •
Labor Relations Advice:
Provide day-to-day labor relations advice to management and human resources under the guidance of the Director of Labor Relations. •
Policy Implementation:
Assist in the development and implementation of labor relations policies and procedures. •
Training and Development:
Support the delivery of training sessions for management and employees on labor relations topics. •
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain positive relationships with union representatives, managers, and other stakeholders. •
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations. •
Reporting:
Prepare reports on labor relations activities and outcomes for review by the Director of Labor Relations. •
Union Contributions & Union Dues Management:
Responsible for the processing and payment of union contributions and union dues. •
Union Funds:
Interact directly with Union Fund representatives to ensure timely and correct payments • Other tasks as required.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in labor relations, Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred. •
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor relations or a related field. •
Negotiation Skills:
Ability to assist in collective bargaining processes and negotiations. •
Conflict Resolution:
Skilled in handling grievances and resolving disputes. •
Communication:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with all stakeholders. •
Knowledge of Labor Laws:
Good understanding of federal and state labor laws and regulations. •
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze labor relations issues and develop effective solutions. •
Team Collaboration:
Ability to work collaboratively with the Director of Labor Relations and other team members.
Travel Requirements:
The role involves occasional travel to different company sites, union meetings, and industry events.
