This is an in office position, Monday through Friday from 8am -5pm What will you be doing as an HR Generalist? Responsible for recruiting this includes phone and in-person interviews, tracking applicants with applicant tracking system. Partners with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, and standards. Facilitates new hire orientation. Maintains and assigns required training in training database/application. Provides recommendations to the HR team for corrective action and continuous improvement. Assists with employee engagement and recognition programs. Assists employees with their benefits during new hire orientation, qualifying events, and open enrollment. Assists in running reports for goals and performance management system. Knowledge of leave of absence compliance with FMLA, NJFLA, NJFLI, NYPFL, ADA, and workers compensation. Knowledge of federal and state regulations concerning employment.
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant HR experience, preferred, or equivalent in work experience, 5-6 years in a generalist role. Experience with HRIS systems and hourly as well as salaried/hard-to-fill recruiting is critical; Training coordination experience is a plus Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills. Detail orientated, proactive, and driven to execute high quality work on time. Ability to multi-task and work on various projects simultaneously keeping them on track and providing clear status updates. Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual is a plus. Ability to use good judgment and discretion with highly confidential information. Ability to work independently while keeping manager and management team informed appropriately and timely.
