Duties Description Kingsboro Psychiatric Center is recruiting a Human Resources Specialist 2 to perform duties requiring a high level of competence in the human resources field and generally work under broad guidelines from a higher-level manager or Director Human Resources. As a Human Resources Specialist 2, you will work in Kingsboro Psychiatric Center’s Human Resource Office and your duties will include:

• Supervising and training entry-level professionals and administrative support staff
• Assigning work, giving written and oral instructions and guidelines
• Reviewing periodic reports and completed work for conformance to established standards conformance to established standards.

The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title. After one year of service at the full performance level, successful candidates will be qualified for appointment from the eligible list.

Candidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. If you are appointed provisionally, you must have take the examination for this title and your score must be reachable on the resulting eligible list before you can be permanently appointed.
