We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll/HR Generalist to join our growing team and support our company in delivering high-quality HR and payroll services to our dedicated workforce.
JOB SUMMARY
This position plays a key role in supporting the HR department’s daily functions and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The ideal candidate is organized, maintains strict confidentiality, and is passionate about supporting employees across all HR matters. Review time punches and follow up with Managers to approve time punches.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Payroll Administration Review time punches and follow up with the Operations Director for approvals Accurately process weekly payroll within established deadlines Create, audit, and maintain payroll reports Manage employee PTO balances and usage Update payroll records for deductions, reimbursements, and benefit changes Oversee year-end W-2 processing and ensure accuracy Follow up with full-time employees regarding benefits eligibility and open enrollment Submit required benefits documentation to payroll provider Respond to unemployment inquiries and monitor claims Maintain confidentiality and ensure secure handling of payroll and HR data Human Resources Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes Assist with conducting onboarding and training initiatives Support employees with questions about leaves, compensation, and benefits Promote HR policies and foster a conflict-free, inclusive workplace Maintain accurate employee records, both digital and physical Improve job satisfaction by resolving issues, enhancing benefits, and organizing employee engagement activities Ensure compliance with state and federal labor regulations
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient with payroll software and the Microsoft Office suite of software Thorough knowledge of employment related laws and regulations. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field At least 2 years of experience in human resources and payroll functions
