HR Coordinator Marymount Manhattan Col 221 East 71st Street, New York, NY 10021
Position Description:
The HR Coordinator provides significant and varied levels of HR support for the AVP for HR as well as the entire HR department. This position primarily focuses upon recruiting and the ADP work flow as well as maintain the ADP system.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinates the recruitment process with hiring managers Posts jobs, screen, interview and hire candidates Initiate ADP hiring process and maintains HR data Answers employee requests and inquiries Creates data tables, reports and related statistical materials that involve data entry from a variety of sources, and establishes, maintains, and updates files, records, certificates, and/or other documents. Reconciles benefits data Processes HR invoices Creates and presents training workshops on HR policies and procedures Assists with the processing of termination and COBRA coordination Maintains file imaging system Conducts maintenance of I-9 files Assists the Director of HRIS/Benefits/Compensation in various audits Coordinates various HR events Liaises with other divisions of the college as needed Maintain and update the HR website Handles unemployment requests Handles employment verification requests and employment letters Supervise student employees Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required One to three years’ experience in human resources, payroll or related field preferred
Other Requirements:
Excellent command of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) Excellent writing skills Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a multitasking environment Must exercise discretion handling confidential matters and documents relating to salary, personnel files, disciplinary matters, financial records and reports Excellent organizational skills a must
