Overview The Manager of Resource Management plays a central role in aligning business needs with talent across the agency. Reporting to the Vice President of Resource Management, this individual serves as a strategic and operational partner to department leads, project managers, and talent leadership. This role is responsible for optimizing staff deployment, balancing utilization, forecasting needs, and enhancing our internal talent mobility and hiring strategies. You will be key in ensuring the right talent is in the right place at the right time — a role that requires a sharp eye for process, a people-first mindset, and the ability to influence decisions through data, collaboration, and insights. Responsibilities Talent Deployment & Planning Partner with department leads to match talent with project needs based on skills, availability, and development goals. Monitor and manage allocations to maximize utilization, billability, and employee experience. Analyze team capacity and identify over/underutilization risks. Recommend and implement staffing solutions, such as internal mobility or freelance support. Reporting & Forecasting Maintain accurate and timely tracking of resource allocations using internal tools (e.g. SmartSheets). Generate resourcing reports and insights for executive leadership, including bench status and forecasted hiring needs. Talent Strategy & Collaboration Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies, compensation alignment, and onboarding. Provide recommendations to build diverse and balanced project teams. Process & Operations Identify and implement improvements to resourcing processes and tools. Manage freelance vendor engagement and forecast freelance usage as needed. Uphold confidentiality and professionalism when navigating sensitive talent matters. Qualifications Required 3-5 years of experience in resource management, staffing, or workforce planning, preferably within a creative or media agency. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficiency in Excel and/or Smartsheets (pivot tables, formulas, filtering/sorting). Excellent communication and influencing skills across teams and levels. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Preferred Experience with project management or resourcing tools Knowledge of digital marketing, creative agency, or consulting environments. Experience managing or partnering closely with freelance talent pools. Compensation Range:
$73,910 – $116,380 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
