Reference #: P25-199249-2Job SummaryThe Sr Workforce Planning Specialist provides expertise and actionable guidance on a strategic level to management through the analysis of Human Resources (HR) market and operations data, as well as the impacts of changes in the marketplace, demographics or legislation. Provides information and high-level analysis to guide business decisions. Fosters and maintains strong working relationships with internal customers and guides assigned groups to understand business rules, key performance indicators, strategies and plans.
Essential FunctionsLeads strategic research projects, running advanced (e.g., modeling, multivariate) analytics and providing predictive decision metrics to business leadersAnalyzes and evaluates data for corporate initiatives utilizing analytical, statistical and computer modeling techniques and provides recommendations for improved performanceDevelops and manages predictive models (e.g. job movement, retirements, talent pools, policy decisions) and integrates workforce model output, when appropriate, into production reporting and developing metrics to assess their effectivenessUses human capital/workforce planning methodologies to determine business unit strengths and strategic opportunities in collaboration with internal clientsAssists in managing our workforce data to ensure the data is accurate and interpretable.
Presents and recommends to senior leadership on strategic HR insights and initiatives.
Develops metrics based on employee demographics, the marketplace, legislation and other factors that impact employee engagement and/or turnoverResearches, determines, and tracks metrics that impact the business, provides insight as to how the marketplace is changing, and published human capital highlightsProvides business impact studies, justification, and recommendations on all major HR initiatives and proposals ensuring focus on corporate impactMinimum EducationBachelor’s degree in quantitative field; Industrial and Organizational (IO) Psychology, business, finance, economics, engineering, computer science or related discipline required;Minimum ExperienceEight (8) years experience required in an analytical field including experience in workforce planning/analytics, predictive modeling/forecasting, statistical methods, business consulting, project management, audit or operational analysis;Six (6) years in an analytical with relevant Master’s degree, including experience in workforce planning/analytics, predictive modeling/forecasting, statistical methods, business consulting, project management, audit or operational analysis will be accepted.
Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExperience partnering with Finance and HR for headcount management-related tasks.
Engineering background desired, with experience applying technical problem-solving approaches to business analytics and project managementAbility to carry a high visibility enterprise-wide projects which include presenting to executivesAbility to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutionsAbility to mentor, coach and act as a knowledge resource to other employeesSoftware skills, including use of Microsoft Office software and web-based applicationsWorking knowledge of advanced spreadsheet applications, database concepts and applications, and predictive modeling/forecasting techniques and SASKnowledge of concepts, practices, policies and procedures related to internal and external factors influencing Human Resources; the business drivers and metrics, and proactively translating the strategic needs into specific strategies and requirements

This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locati ns. US Monthly Pay Range:
$7,094.23 – $12,533.14
