Ebensburg Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and people-oriented Human Resources professional to lead recruiting and onboarding efforts at our Ebensburg location. This role partners closely with the Department Manager to ensure staffing needs are met and supports a positive workplace culture through communication, employee engagement, and HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary lead for recruiting and onboarding new team members in Ebensburg. Collaborate with Department Managers to understand staffing needs and guide candidates through the interview and hiring process. Assist in administering employee benefits and support annual open enrollment activities. Act as a liaison for employee communications through pre-shift handoffs, company meetings, newsletters, surveys, and one-on-one conversations. Monitor and support the organizational culture to align with company goals and enhance employee satisfaction. Contribute to HR-related initiatives including employee appreciation events, luncheons, and celebrations. Participate in safety, wellness, and workplace improvement meetings as needed. Keep the Human Resources Director informed of activities and issues related to retail operations. Coordinate and deliver in-house training programs for retail locations; maintain training records. Support recruitment for exempt-level positions as needed. Assist with investigations and help guide Department Managers through personnel matters. Ensure compliance with labor laws and conduct remedial training when necessary. Assist with performance management processes including development plans and employee growth initiatives. Participate in continuing education, HR training, and certification opportunities. Prepare and collect workers’ compensation documentation as required.

Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or a related field required. Several years of HR-related experience preferred. HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
