PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Senior People and Culture Business Partner (PCBP) is responsible for enhancing people leadership capabilities through targeted development programs and coaching. This role ensures resolution of employee relations matters and workforce planning. The PCBP plays a key role in maintaining workforce continuity by managing leave of absence (LOA) activity and advising on staffing impacts. Strong partnerships with People and Culture, Operations, and Finance are critical to be successful.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership Effectiveness
Design and implement leadership development initiatives for supervisors
Partner with leadership to evaluate and improve organizational structure and team effectiveness
Provide coaching to supervisors on topics related to talent development and performance management
Support the annual performance review and talent development planning processes
Employee Relations
Serve as a trusted advisor to supervisors for performance concerns, policy interpretation, and corrective action
Conduct or support investigations into employee relations issues; document findings and recommend actions
Ensure consistent application of policies, practices, and standards Conduct stay and exit interviews and compile data to identify trends
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Leave of Absence Management
Track and manage LOA activity
Partner with business leaders to assess and plan for workforce coverage during periods of increased LOA volume
Coordinate with internal People and Culture partners and third-party administrators to ensure timely and accurate LOA communication and documentation
Company Culture
Promote a positive, inclusive, and accountable work environment Support employee engagement initiatives across the company
Analyze and share workforce data and trends to inform leadership decisions related to retention, engagement, and staffing
Requirements
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Display keen attention to detail for accuracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Possess strong planning and organizational skills to successfully manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Demonstrate sound judgment when making decisions and operate with discretion and integrity
Ability to assess issues as they arise, maintain composure under pressure, and develop thoughtful and appropriate responses
Knowledge of HR principles and best practices for employment law, talent management, workforce planning, and engagement
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the Company’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the related administrative practices
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years of experience working in a Human Resources capacity for a multi-state employer
5+ years of experience as a Business Partner or related position required
Working knowledge of federal and state regulations and the ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
Working knowledge of HR functions and procedures (e.g., compliance, leave management, pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development, etc.)
Microsoft Office skills to include Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to navigate web-based programs
HR designation (SHRM or HRCI) preferred

Accustomed to using Microsoft Teams (or similar virtual-meeting applications) to meet with colleagues regularly on video and use the chat feature for quick communications. We utilize many Microsoft Teams features (such as Channels and file storage) for announcements, relevant conversations, and file sharing. Familiarity with Microsoft Teams is a plus
