Job Description
Description We’re partnering with a locally recognized healthcare organization to identify an experienced and driven professional for the role of Human Resources Specialist.. This dynamic position focuses on supporting and enhancing professional development, performance management, and benefits administration, contributing to a productive and engaged workplace environment. As part of the HR team, this role works closely with leadership to implement development programs, manage benefit processes, and support employee engagement initiatives. This is a crucial opportunity for someone passionate about improving organizational culture and employee well-being while ensuring smooth HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Organize and lead the new hire orientation and onboarding process, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for incoming employees. + Collaborate with managers to develop and update job descriptions for evolving or new roles. + Provide hands-on guidance for performance review processes, assisting employees and management with questions. + Assist with designing, organizing, and delivering training programs, including coordinating external vendors as needed. + Develop and distribute learning materials and resources to support development initiatives. + Facilitate mentoring programs and coordinate individual development planning for employees. + Maintain a visible HR presence, ensuring employees feel supported by addressing concerns and answering questions effectively. + Handle new hire enrollment activities, open enrollment preparation, and daily benefits-related inquiries. + Administer processes for leaves of absence, including short-term disability, timecard updates, and maintaining communication with employees on leave. + Oversee workers’ compensation claims. + Collaborate with leadership and internal committees to support wellness programs and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) activities. + Prepare HR data and contribute content for quarterly staff-wide meetings. + Run and analyze necessary reports to support departmental projects. + Perform additional responsibilities and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements Required Qualifications:

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered. +
Experience:
At least 2-3 years of relevant HR experience, specifically in organizational development, employee engagement, performance management, or benefits administration. +
Technology Proficiency:
Strong familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. +
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization. +
Organizational Skills:
Strong attention to detail and time management skills to handle competing priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or
SHRM-SCP
are highly desirable. + Knowledge of state and federal employment laws, particularly in relation to leave administration and benefits. + Proven history of facilitating training sessions or employee programs.
