This is a key position for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking long-term about culture, retention, and people strategy. Core HR Operations (70%) Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding Maintain employee records and HR systems Oversee PTO, leave tracking, and time-off policies Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state labor laws Address employee relations issues professionally and confidentially Serve as go-to person for employee questions, concerns, and support Provide leadership team with metric and performance reports. Strategic People Initiatives (30%) Partner with leadership on staffing plans and team structure Build and maintain a positive, inclusive company culture Assist in performance review and employee feedback processes Track HR metrics (turnover, engagement, retention) Partner with leadership on improvements to HR policies and procedures Support leadership with change management and growth planning

Qualifications:
Required:

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a small- to mid-sized company Solid understanding of HR laws, compliance, and best practices Strong communication, mediation, and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task responsibilities with strategic thinking in a fast-paced environment Discretion and integrity in handling sensitive information

Preferred:

Experience in professional services or insurance Familiarity with HRIS platform BambooHR, or similar HR certification (SHRM-CP) a plus
