Program is managed and executed at Goose Creek in support of the Army’s power projection doctrine and resources. The contract provides maintenance of APS-3 stocks (Class

II, IIIP, IV, VII, IX

) to ensure that unit sets stored aboard marine vessels are configured and maintained at optimal readiness. KBR provides limited maintenance and supply support aboard ship to ensure that equipment sets are maintained in a ready condition for emergency download and issue to operating units at the direction of the US Army. Our services encompass program management, civil engineering, morale and recreation support, postal operations, safety services, logistics, and more. With a five-year base period and three one-year options, KBR ensures these bases operate smoothly, allowing deployed personnel to focus on mission execution. Job Summary The APS-3 Sr. Human Resource Generalist will play a crucial role in overseeing various HR functions within the organization. This role involves implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations and compliance, and supporting employee development initiatives. Roles and Responsibilities + Manage day-to-day HR administrative tasks, including processing payroll changes, managing HR systems, preparing reports, and ensuring the HR team’s accuracy and efficiency in these areas. + Provide some oversight to the on-site HR team, through support, mentorship, and ensuring high standards in HR service delivery. Facilitate the On-Site onboarding and orientation process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. + Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. Foster a positive work environment and support employee engagement initiatives. + Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations by staying up to date with changes, advising management on necessary actions, and working closely with labor unions on compliance matters. + Resolve labor issues in collaboration with Labor Relations and relevant departments, focusing on equitable solutions and fostering workplace equality. + Conduct investigations into employee complaints or misconduct allegations, following established protocols and ensuring confidentiality. + Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related topics and empower the HR team to deliver consistent, quality support across departments. + Other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications) + Must be a U.S. Citizen. + Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) + Must have at least 5+ years of related HR experience + Must be able to meet government-specified requirements. + Must have a strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, regulations, and best practices related to workplace equality. + Must have leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to mentor and guide team members. + Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. + Must be proficient in HRIS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
