About Our Agency
The South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (DDSN) is the state agency that plans, develops, coordinates, and funds services for South Carolinians with the severe, lifelong disabilities of:
intellectual disability and related disabilities
autism spectrum disorder
traumatic brain injury
spinal cord injury and similar disability

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for creating job postings and qualifying candidates for DDSN operated facilities. This position will also assist with related hire requests and salary analysis.
Utilizes NEOGOV to post vacancies for DDSN operated facilities. Communicates new job postings agency wide.
Reviews and qualifies candidates as applications are received and forwards qualified candidates to the hiring manager(s).
Reviews hiring requests, updates candidate status and completes salary approval requests.
Extends offers of employment to approved candidates, ensures recruitment/on-boarding coordinator is notified of accepted offers and notates requisitions accordingly.
Properly closes out requisitions in a timely manner.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in accordance with State Human Resources regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management. Knowledge of the relevant human resources policies and procedures and of agency policies and procedures. Knowledge of federal laws and state regulations affecting human resources. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to analyze needs and to recommend and communicate solutions effectively.
