!! Overview The U.S. Army’s Human Resources Specialist (HR) Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) is 42A. HR specialists perform a variety of personnel and administrative tasks to support the Army’s operations. Responsibilities Manage personnel records for officers and enlisted soldiers Process personnel actions for soldiers and their families Advise commanders, staff, and soldiers on human resources Manage and operate field personnel information systems Train and assist system users Monitor system activities Provide and manage postal operations Oversee strength management and distribution Maintain emergency notification data Skills and qualifications HR specialists should have strong organizational and interpersonal skills. They should also be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Training HR specialists undergo basic combat training and advanced individual training. They also receive on-the-job training and instructions on human resource systems. Additional training opportunities may be available depending on the unit Career Path HR specialists are essential to the Army’s day-to-day operations and long-term mission success. They can be stationed anywhere there is an Army post. $52,389.00 – $58,260.00 per year Expected hours: 40 – 80 per week
