JOB SUMMARY

QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS
: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of this job while exercising appropriate levels of judgment and discretion.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Human Resources Development, Business Administration, or another related field 3-5 years’ experience in a Generalist role Thorough understanding of Tennessee employment law and HR best practices Proficient in HRIS systems; ideally iSolved People Cloud Excellent employee relation skills Flexible when priorities shift SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently; ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Must be able to operate normal office machinery. Must be able to work in a usual office environment. Must be able to perform intermediate level math calculations. Must be able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers in person, via telephone, and email.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Day-to-day employee support- benefit questions, policy questions, employee issues Day-to-day manager support Draft and post job openings after approval Phone screens Standard offer letters Draft exception offers and term letters for approval New hire orientation Research state and local employment laws Support employees during open enrollment Participate in post-open enrollment verifications. Perform other related duties as requested.
