out of 5 stars 155 Kilgore Rd, Toone, TN 38381 JOB SUMMARY The HR Generalist I for Kilgore Flares (KFL) will support HR responsibilities in the employment process, on-boarding, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and employee services. This position is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of payroll and employee benefit programs for the Toone, TN facility.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Fosters a positive working environment where employees are comfortable addressing concerns with management and HR Performs all necessary activities to accurately and timely process the weekly payrolls for KFL Reviews, monitors and enters changes for pay rates, taxes, job codes, department transfers, deductions, gym memberships, child support, garnishments, group insurance, etc. into the payroll system Primary point of contact for all payroll inquiries Responsible for the maintenance of employee data in the HRIS system and the creation and running of reports as needed Prepares employee earning and verification of employment requests Assists with monthly, quarterly, or year-end calculations of bonuses and other salary-based compensation Resolves payroll discrepancies Administers employee benefit programs including processing of new hire, qualifying event and open enrollment benefit enrollments, timely communication of benefits information, and timely and accurate processing of benefit invoices Serves as the primary point of contact for all employee inquiries related to benefit programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401(k), vacation, sick, leave of absence, and daily employee assistance Maintain employee records throughout employee lifecycle; create and maintain all records, reports, and logs to comply with federal and state employment laws and regulations Assists in preparing materials and in presenting benefit plan changes to employees Coordinates with and provides required information to third party responsible for FMLA, STD, and LTD benefits Processes internal leave of absence approvals and rejections within KFL’s policies Responds to information requests regarding unemployment claims filed by former employees

Other duties as assigned Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures Ensure 100% compliance with the Chemring Operational Framework, Code of Conduct and U.S. Code of Ethics and Business Conduct Must obey all Safety, Health & Environmental rules/regulations prescribed by regulatory agencies that are incorporated into company policy

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY N/A EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required HR Certification (PHR) preferred

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three years of experience and knowledge in Human Resources disciplines including benefits administration and payroll administration required Prior human resources experience in a manufacturing and/or government contracting environment is preferred Experience with Paylocity and UKG highly desired SKILLS and

QUALIFICATIONS

Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees of Kilgore Flares Ability to represent the Company positively and professionally through behavior, attitude and communication Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Customer service oriented professional Must possess knowledge of applicable laws and regulations Exceptional attention to detail, high degree of accuracy and ability to independently perform multiple assignments Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and exercise effective independent judgement, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations Must be computer savvy with a high degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database management, vendor portals Excellent problem solving skills Self-motivated and capable of working under tight deadlines and prioritizing multiple tasks Willing to work in an environment that requires a “Safety First” attitude. Ability to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Use of computer.
