We are growing our team and are in search of a Human Resources Generalist / Health & Safety

QUALIFICATIONS OF SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

Experience in, and ability to identify, develop and lead Health and safety training and employee workshops Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously TN Healthcare Insurance experience and knowledge Ability to follow through on commitments and meet assigned deadlines; Creativity and willingness to try new things; Strong desire to problem solve, execute, and drive results Interview and recruitment experience Strong interpersonal skills; Comfortable with consistent change Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, and attention to detail Strong desire for collaboration and teamwork Ability to interact with all levels of employees and ability to lead and be proactive High degree of organizational and time management skills; Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs – Word and Excel Excellent communication skills both oral and written Familiarization with

JOB DESCRIPTION

Knowledge of relevant labour law, employment and human resource related legislation. Ability to understand and contribute to the development of enabling policies and procedures; Assists with the review and/or creation of the HR employee handbook, training manuals and training presentations for employees, supervisors and leaders. Greet visitors and handle incoming phone calls to general mailbox Oversee and coordinate safety and health programs within their organization Conduct initial investigations on employee complaints and recommend appropriate resolutions or escalate complex issues or matters and provide support on resolution Provide oversight of employee benefit providers to ensure correct coverage, level of service, and contract costs; Coach, support, and provide guidance to management and employees; Ensure that recruitment strategies are developed and implemented in collaboration with management Ensure the accurate documentation and maintenance of training records; Assist in the development and implementation of recognized best practices within Human Resources Lead the advertising and pre-screening of all recruitment Assess, develop, communicate and maintain Human Resource policies, programs, procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant legislation Ensure the facility is compliant with legislation and supports a safe, healthy and productive workplace through

Issuing various correspondence to employees, draft and edit a variety of non-routine letters and related correspondence; Maintain accurate and confidential employee files Recruit for various hourly positions in the plant (advertising, interviewing, hiring) Provide new hire orientation Manage recruitment and orientation of new employees Monitor Attendance Program Management compliance Sign up of new hires on company benefit programs Verifying eligibility to work in United States Data entry of Environmental Information Accident reporting and record keeping Promote company values and goals with employees Strive to continually improve the company culture and promote a safe work environment

Casual work attire suitable for inside the plant, including safety footwear Full time days, Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:30 pm Starting wages will be dependent on experience level in all areas Benefits available
