JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary The HRIS & Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining HRIS integrity, and supporting compliance with payroll tax regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Process bi-weekly & semi-monthly payroll for physicians and staff, including off-cycle payments and live check distribution. Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain employee records in the HRIS system, overseeing data entry and updates. Manage payroll tax filings and reporting, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Optimize and support HRIS system operations, configuration, and user assistance across payroll, benefits, and time & attendance. Analyze and compile data and metrics to generate reports and track key outcomes. Enhance payroll processes and procedures, supporting system upgrades and troubleshooting HRIS functionality. Maintain the department’s SharePoint site, ensuring accessible HR documentation and employee resources. Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. 3-5 years of payroll or HRIS experience required (Dayforce preferred). SharePoint experience preferred. Strong understanding of payroll taxes and regulatory compliance. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and payroll reporting tools.
