POSITION OBJECTIVE
Ensure the HR department consistently meets or exceeds customer expectations by providing high quality, efficient, professional and friendly HR support to both plant management and supporting staff. Proactively develop and promote trust and open, effective communication between employees, their managers and the Company. Assist in development of an employee-oriented Company culture that emphasizes key employee retention, people development and high performance.

STANDARDS HR
Management • Comply with HR policies and procedures, as well as relevant employment laws and communicate any updates. Respond to production and management questions (benefit, policy, etc.) as needed by interpreting and reinforcing company policies, procedures, practices and standards in a consistent manner. Provide professional environment where Employees can share concerns and follow-up or provide direction as appropriate. Advise plant leadership and HRBP of any employee relations issues, as needed; including lack of compliance with policies, procedures, practices and standards. Assist managers regarding employee performance and any deviations in performance that may require disciplinary action. Act as liaison to corporate HRBP for all applicable Memphis HR related updates or concerns. Attend all weekly production meetings and deliver HR updates. HR Administration Coordinate annual production review process with plant leadership and HRBP (includes review process training). Coordinate attendance tracking system with leadership, supporting management in accurately recording Employee attendance occurrences and ensuring management is issuing attendance warning notices, as applicable. Ensure position charters are in place and updated for all positions with support of corporate HR. Complete HR and KPI or other reports as needed. Ensure HR board and communication monitor are updated as necessary. Coordinate annual enrolment process with corporate HR management. Coordinate with HRBP to ensure current labor law posters are visible and reflect federal and state updates Recruitment/Retention • Oversee temporary staffing program plant-wide by coordinating with management team. Obtain plant controller approval prior to temporary placements. Work with HR management to develop fair and consistent position charters. Coordinate the recruiting/onboarding process for plant open positions in the following areas: Generate and obtain approval for applicable recruitment protocol document Post open positions to applicant tracking system and other systems or areas as required. Review submitted resumes against open positions Coordinate interview process (including testing, as necessary) Generate offer letters Order pre-employment testing packages once offers have been accepted Coordinate onboarding process for newly hired employees (to include onboarding schedule, new user set up, new hire forms, benefit information, I9, etc.). Schedule and conduct exit interviews. Coordinate all termination paperwork including term user and payroll documents. Review exit feedback to determine if next steps are needed. Organizational Development • Propose, seek approval and coordinate programs to drive engagement, including team building events. Develop and track employee engagement budget. Assist in providing effective and ongoing employee training programs. Coordinate maintenance Apprenticeship program in its entirety. Payroll Verify that Employee Status Change forms are completed, approved and forwarded to payroll. Ensure submitted changes match the weekly payroll report. Ensure all new hire, terminations, pay changes, address changes, benefit enrollments, etc. are submitted to ACH payroll and HRBP within the required deadlines. Act as primary plant payroll processor. Maintain payroll and labor reports. Reporting Compile and type statistical reports and PowerPoint presentations. Prepare ad hoc reporting. Complete weekly (HRBP reports) and monthly (KPI) metrics gathering and reporting. Other Attend workshops and courses to enhance skill set or knowledge. Other duties as assigned.
A COMBINATION OF THE LISTED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
Two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in Human Resources, employee relations and recruiting. Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but not required. Excellent PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Ability to analyze data to provide timely and meaningful information. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work independently, with little or no supervision. Knowledge of Federal and State Labor Laws. Experience using ADP or comparable payroll software. Confidentiality and discretion are a must Experience in manufacturing environment preferred, but not required.

Normal office working environment.
