Job Description
HR Generalist 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 7777 Concord Rd, Brentwood, TN 37027 The human resource generalist is responsible to the church, under the direction of the Human Resources Director, for assisting with the daily facilitation of the human resource processes at all Brentwood Baptist Church campuses. This role is responsible for benefits, entering/adjusting employee leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This position is also responsible for reviewing the preprocess registers of the biweekly payroll. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed including record-keeping, file maintenance, and reporting.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
may include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate with broker on benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations. Responsible for FMLA documentation and workers’ compensation reporting. Collaborate with HR Payroll Specialist to ensure correct employee benefit deductions are entered into payroll. Monitor hr@brentwoodbaptist.com email account and respond to inquiries. Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Complete new hire E-verification and background checks as needed. Pay invoices and reconcile monthly benefits statements. Conduct audits of HR processes and recommend changes. Collaborate with hiring manager on various aspects of the administrative/professional recruitment process including candidate identification, screening, interviewing, selection, hiring, and relocation. This person would guide the overall hiring/onboarding process for administrative or professional hires. Administer candidate pre-hire assessments and computer skills testing. Conduct employee relations investigations and compile summary reports with recommendations. Create and implement regular employee training sessions. Assist with new staff orientation. Maintain spreadsheets with necessary HR information.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
may include but are not limited to the following: Make photocopies; mail, scan, file, and email documents; and perform other clerical functions. Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. 3-5 years’ experience in human resources with familiarity with HRIS systems required. Experience creating and delivering employee training programs. SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus. All campuses function under the governance of Brentwood Baptist Church.
