Human Resources (HR) & Payroll Manager, Remote 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Fairfield, AL 35064 • Hybrid work Local nonprofit organization that supports adults with learning disabilities seeks an experienced Human Resources (HR) & Payroll Manager to oversee their Human Resources, Payroll, and Health & Safety departments. You will work remotely. This is a full-time opportunity where you will earn $37 to $60 an hour, depending on your experience, and work Monday through Friday from 8AM to 4:30PM. To qualify for this position, you must have at least ten years of human resources and payroll management experience, a bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management, and an in-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws. As the HR & Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for implementing HR and safety strategies as well as ensuring all departments are compliant with employment laws. You will also be expected to: Ensure payroll is accurate. Recruit, hire and onboard new employees. Act as a resource for employees and address all issues and workplace concerns. Advise executives, managers, and supervisors on HR policy interpretation and application. Process W-2s and oversee all tax filings related to payroll. Facilitate audits by providing payroll records and documentation to auditors. Oversee the 401(k) program. Oversee daily staff substitutions and ensure smooth transitions.
