Human Resources Director 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars Florence, AL 35630 Job Summary The Human Resources Director is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the HR function in a Community Mental Health setting. This role ensures compliance with federal and state employment laws, as well as compliance with the Department of Mental Health standards. The HR Director plays a key role in workforce planning, staff development, and fostering a safe and equitable workplace. Duties Development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives. Recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies. Address employee relation issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions. Ensure compliance with labor laws, licensing/accreditation standards, and internal policies. Maintain accurate employee records. Facilitate staff training. Ensure workplace safety. Administer compensation programs to align with best practices and budget parameters. Assist in the administration of the company’s benefits program. Participation in the organization’s leadership team and assist with organizational development and employee engagement. Experience Proven experience in human resources management with a focus on talent acquisition, performance management, and employee training. Proficiency in HR software applications. Strong interviewing skills with a track record of successful hiring outcomes. Demonstrated ability in HR sourcing strategies to identify potential candidates effectively. Previous supervisory experience is preferred, showcasing leadership capabilities in managing an HR team. 3 to 5 years of progressive Human Resources Management preferred. Education Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent field.
