Develops and implements strategies consistent with theButterball Way culture and business goals. Collaborates withleadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
KeyResponsibilities
- Manages a team of entry to established levelindividual contributors and/or supervisors.
Provides guidance,coaching, and support to ensure successful delivery of departmentgoals. Responsible for HR activities such as hiring, terminations,performance management, goal setting, team member development,scheduling, etc. Enforces and meaningfully contributes to thedevelopment of systems, policies, and procedures. Participates instrategic planning for the function
- Reviews, develops, and/orimplements policies, programs, and procedures. Ensures consistencyin execution
- Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatorycompliance agencies relating to labor, wage and hour and employmentlaws, Employment Eligibility Verification and I-9 laws
- Assistsin the development and administration of Affirmative Action Plans,Equal Employment programs and other governmental rules andregulations pertaining to associate relations
- Develops andimplements data-based HR solutions in partnership with operationsleaders that impact performance improvement and support the short-and long-term business goals. Ensures implementation of strategiesthat equip leaders and team members with the tools and techniquesneeded for success
- Collaborates and provides advice to businesspartners to help guide organizational initiatives at a locationlevel
- Provides coaching and guidance regarding HR issues,programs, and policies, such as talent and performance management,employee and labor relations, human resources policies andprocedures, and employee benefit programs and compensation
- Oversees the administration of HR tasks, programs, and practiceswhich may include human resource planning, performance assessmentand other evaluation programs within assigned responsibilities
- Investigates and acts on unemployment compensation claims andprepares position statements for DOL and EEOC charges
- Overseesor conducts internal investigations.
May review manager or HRmember’s recommendations and submittals and engage in discussionswith managers and/or team members.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employeemay be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop,kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone,keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision, distancevision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjustfocus.
- Working Conditions
- Work will be performed in a varietyof conditions.
Primarily in a climate-controlled officeenvironment(s); occasionally in a manufacturing plant environmentwith varying conditions, such as cold areas, wet areas, warm areas,chemicals, and other site conditions; and occasionally in a farmenvironment including working outdoors in seasonal conditions withlive animals and at times in dusty environments. This positionrequires the individual to wear and work in personal protectiveequipment while in the manufacturing and farm environment. Thisindividual may be working around sick or diseased animals whereadditional precautions may need to be taken
- The noise level ofthe office and farm environment is usually moderate. The noiselevel in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA andrequire hearing protection. Showering in and out of farm locationsmay be required
- Occasional travel may be required.
