Supervision to ensure House Managers are performing their job duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Hire potential employees as needed and terminate staff as warranted. Supervise House Managers to ensure they are performing their job responsibilities. Maintains Direct Care staff employment records in accordance with personnel policies and procedures. Coordinate new employee/annual training with appropriate staff to ensure they receive Drug Test, Background Checks, TB Skin Test, Core Curriculum, First Aid/CPR, CPI, MAC I & II, etc. as outlined in DMH/MR Standards. Responsible for staffing issues and staff request/concerns. Document and file all written warnings in employee files. Checking the conditions of the homes, cleanliness, reviewing the video recordings as needed, etc. Complete Termination Letters and submit all unemployment claims Verify employment from other outside agencies, such as Housing Authority, Food Stamps, Apartments, Credit Agencies Reviews House Mangers employee work schedules to ensure staff is secured on all shifts and Over-time is used at a minimum. Hold telephone hearings concerning unemployment claims. Report/file all Workmen’s Comp claims. Be available to speak with House Managers and Direct Support Staff 24/7.

QUALIFICATIONS

Four-year college Degree, preferred; however, other experience may be substituted One-year supervisory experience required Some knowledge of and understanding people with Developmental Disabilities Good knowledge of household management skills Ability to communicate effectively with staff Some knowledge of
