Human Resource/OSHA Safety Manager/Logistics & DOT Department:
TBC Logistics Reported to: Summary of Position Organized Human Resource, Safety Coordinator with Logistics and DOT background. This position will play a vital role in managing various functions and ensuring safety compliance, HR Policies and DOT regulations and Knowledge of Logistics. This position will maintain the smooth operation of TBC Logistics. This role encompasses responsibilities ranging from employee relations and staffing to safety compliance and performance management duties. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, Great Attendance, Dependable, be adept at resolving conflicts, have a strong understanding of employment laws and regulations. Administrative and OSHA Safety proficiency. Experience with DOT laws, Regulations and Insurance for DOT Vehicles and Operators. Payroll knowledge Duties & Responsibilities Oversee and maintain accurate attendance records, implementing the employee point system for attendance tracking, processing and managing employee time off requests, and ensuring adequate coverage while meeting employee needs within the Monday system. Manage the end-to-end staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, orientation, and safety training for new hires. Collaborate with supervisors and managers in the hiring process to identify potential candidates for various positions as needed. Maintain comprehensive employee files, including safety records, new hire paperwork, tax information, and employment verifications. Develop training materials and performance management procedures to ensure employees understand and fulfill their job responsibilities effectively. Investigate and address employee issues and conflicts, working towards resolution in line with company policies. Efficiently handle employee relations matters, providing guidance to supervisors and managers when addressing employee needs and concerns. Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with employees, supervisors, and managers. Deliver timely performance reviews, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee development. Employee discipline and termination processes in compliance with company policies and relevant regulations. Stay up to date with employment-related laws, regulations, OSHA, DOT laws, Insurance Develop, implement, and ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures per OSHA guidelines and DOT Regulations. Manage workers’ compensation claims, working with injured employees and relevant parties to ensure appropriate handling. Coordinate employee benefits, including insurance coverage and vacation policies. Address unemployment claims and provide necessary documentation as required. Conduct safety & DOT training sessions for employees and ensure compliance with
OSHA & DOT
regulations. Display leadership qualities while guiding employees, supervisors, and managers on HR-related matters. Administrative duties Fulfill additional responsibilities as needed or instructed. Payroll Timekeeping DOT Logs Investigate Accidents and prepare Accident reports for insurance carriers and files Maintain excellent record keeping skills Required to Have excel and word experience Required experience with creating Human Resource policies Spreadsheet knowledge is required
