POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resource Operations Manager will assist the Head of Human Resources by leading and directing the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, hiring and interviewing staff, managing benefit questions and assistance, assisting with leave management, and enforcing company policies and practices. This role requires hands-on experience and approach in employee management and coaching, as well as leadership assistance.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. A minimum of three years of human resource management experience is preferred. A minimum of three years in healthcare operations of some form. SHRM-CP or

SHRM-SCP

highly desired. Project management a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience working in Paycom Highly desired. Ability to travel to other locations as needed.

KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING

Maintains up-to-date training human resources certification.

SECURITY MEASURERS AND CLEARANCE

Nationwide, State & local county background clearances required to include fingerprinting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ BASIC DUTIES

Partners with the Human Resources Director to understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning. Works with department head to support and guide to HR staff, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodation, may assist in investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations. Provide assistance with the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Assist with the creation of learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees. Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Participate in community outreach functions, job fairs and recruiting events. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Works with the COO for special operational duties as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned.
