We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Job Summary:

This position coordinates and facilitates all staffing related to dependency proceeding, including, but not limited to multi-disciplinary staffing, transition staffing, separated sibling staffing, family team meetings, permanency staffing and other critical juncture staffing, with the goal of engaging parentings, improving communication with all involved participants, and expediting permanency for children in the dependency system. The items listed below are intended to provide an overview of the essential functions of the job. This is not an exhaustive list of all functions and responsibilities that the position may be required to provide. Facilitate family focused staffing to address the identified goal of the staffing. This will include permanency staffing, multi-disciplinary staffing, transition staffing, family team meetings and other staffing as needed. Oversee communication between all involved staffing participants, including actively and professionally mediating any challenging conversations that take place during staffing. Record staffing outcomes and share those outcomes with CLS and the Department of Children and Families within required timeframes. Document case related activities in the Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) following required protocols for documentation of the staffing. Maintain current understanding of Department of Children and Families Operating Procedures, Florida Administrative Code and Florida Statute that govern the staffing requirements. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/ Requirements:
Years of Experience:

Two (2) years of Case Management experience preferred. Previous experience with Family Team Conferencing preferred.

Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field
