Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Human Resources Manager to join the team of a client of ours, based out of Davie, FL. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures to develop a new structure for the HR department, by creating and implementing new processes and procedures for all HR functions throughout the company. This role involves overseeing all HR functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, supporting the company’s growth and employee satisfaction, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. This position offers exceptional growth potential, paving the way for advancement into a Director role as you demonstrate your leadership and strategic capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Department Reconstruction:
Lead the development and implementation of new HR processes, policies, and procedures to build a robust and efficient HR department.
HR Operations Management:
Oversee all HR functions, including onboarding, new hire orientation, offboarding, talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance.
Budgeting:
They manage the HR budget, including compensation, benefits, and other HR-related expenses.
Executive Collaboration:
Often part of the executive team, they collaborate with senior leaders to shape the company’s strategic direction and workforce planning.
Long-term Planning:
Focus on long-term HR initiatives such as talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
Manage and process bi-weekly payroll, administer employee benefit and compensation programs, and assist employees with healthcare coverage claim issues.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, perform necessary procedures required by regulatory agencies, and investigate and respond to EEO discrimination charges.
Employee Relations:
Develop and implement grievance procedures, resolve labor disputes, and maintain a balanced employee/company environment.
Policy Development:
Develop and update rules, policies, procedures and job descriptions to align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
Reporting and Auditing:
Prepare and submit reports for auditors, including 401k, workers’ compensation, and year-end reports.
Insurance and Contracts:
Negotiate rate contracts with insurance brokers and temporary agencies, review and update insurance policies for open enrollment.
Project Management:
Lead HR projects and initiatives to improve HR processes and systems, including upgrading payroll systems and implementing new HR technologies.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management 7+ years of experience in HR management, with a proven track record in overseeing HR functions and managing multiple teams Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, ADP (or similar) Payroll systems, and other HR software (eg, Peachtree, QuickBooks, iManage, UKG, Teams, JIRA) Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality, and excellent problem-solving abilities Project Management skills with creating and implementing HR new procedures
