Zoecklein Law, P.A. is a growing probate and litigation-focused law firm headquartered in Brandon, Florida. We’re seeking a capable, proactive Office & Human Resources Manager to oversee the daily operations of our firm and support our attorneys, paralegals, and staff across multiple practice areas. This is a key leadership position responsible not only for HR compliance and employee relations, but also for office administration, process optimization, and maintaining a positive and accountable workplace culture. About the
Role:
The Office & HR Manager will report directly to firm leadership and work closely with our legal and administrative teams. You will oversee HR functions such as hiring, onboarding, performance tracking, and employee support, while also managing office systems, coordinating benefits, and ensuring that internal operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding for legal and administrative roles. Administer and refine HR policies, employee handbooks, and internal procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Manage payroll and employee records using platforms like ADP or Paylocity. Oversee PTO tracking, holiday schedules, and FMLA or other leave administration. Serve as a resource for staff questions and concerns, facilitating clear and respectful communication across teams. Maintain firm morale, host employee engagement initiatives, and assist with training plans and professional development efforts. Support firm leadership with operational oversight, including vendor coordination, supply management, and office logistics. Monitor performance benchmarks and ensure accountability through regular check-ins and follow-ups. Assist with onboarding documentation and firm-specific training, including technology systems like PracticePanther, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in HR and/or office management, preferably in a professional services setting. Solid understanding of employment law, Florida-specific HR compliance, and best practices in employee relations. Proficient with HR software (ADP, Paylocity, etc.) and comfortable learning law firm tech platforms. Exceptional communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. High degree of discretion and judgment in handling sensitive personnel issues. Ability to juggle multiple priorities while maintaining consistency and follow-through.
