People Manager Ascend Technologies Group, LLC Tampa, FL 33602 POSITION SUMMARY The People Manager will lead day-to-day people operations with a strong emphasis on cultivating a culture of growth, innovation, and opportunity. This role is central to empowering employees through thoughtful talent development, dynamic recruitment strategies, and meaningful engagement initiatives. Rather than focusing solely on compliance, the People Manager will act as a strategic partner—nurturing a supportive, high-performance environment that aligns with the company’s vision and inspires individuals to thrive.

OBJECTIVES
Develop and implement procedures, and programs that support the company’s strategic goals. Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for employee relations, handling conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary actions. Develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategies and initiatives. Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent. Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless and positive experience for new hires. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Stay updated on changes in employment legislation and implement necessary updates to policies and procedures. Conduct regular audits to ensure practices and documentation meet legal and regulatory standards. Oversee the administration of employee records, benefits, and compensation programs. Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and resolve any payroll-related issues. Promote and maintain a positive and inclusive company culture that aligns with the organization’s values. Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and reduce turnover.
COMPETENCIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate policies, procedures, and issues to employees and management. Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, and external stakeholders. Ability to make informed decisions and solve complex employee issues. Strong sense of ethics and integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information. Commitment to maintaining compliance with employment laws and regulations. Familiarity with payroll systems and benefits administration software. Competence in developing and implementing initiatives that support the organization’s strategic direction.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and performance management. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to sit for extended periods at a desk during working hours
