$47.3K – $56.2K a year 1 day ago Qualifications Project planning Writing skills Mid-level Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Bachelor’s degree 4 years Full Job Description Department College of Business – Human Resources Responsibilities Works with the College’s Dean and Assistant Dean to strategically lead the College’s human resources planning and programs. Provides guidance and direction to faculty and staff on HR processes and professional development, including but not limited to faculty/staff searches, hiring, appointment and immigration paperwork, promotion and tenure, College-wide committee elections, personnel issues, annual evaluations, and merit evaluations. Ensures the College maintains effective recruitment and retention procedures and ensures compliance with University policy and various collective bargaining agreements. Provides guidance and advice to College leadership on faculty and staff salary analyses and increases based on central HR policy and guidance. Monitors changes in University policy and procedures. Develops, recommends, and implements policies for sound internal controls maximizing resources by utilizing best practices. Serves as the HR Department Manager approving all human resources transactions. Ensures that the College’s departments, centers, and institutes have access to the most up-to-date material and guidance from the College and University related to HR deadlines, policies, and procedures. Supervises staff members responsible for executing HR processes and transactions. Oversees the management and direction of the College’s training, organizational, and professional development efforts. Partners with supervisors to evaluate, recommend and implement strategies to promote and address employee development. Develops curricula, training plans, and professional development opportunities for the College’s faculty and staff. Partners with the College’s executive, professional, and student development programs to enhance the value of their offerings. Provides training to meet mandatory requirements or strategic HR goals. Serves as a highly visible representative of the Dean and the College through correspondence and meetings. Consults with leadership, as well as internal and external business partners, to build and foster an environment of continuous improvement and positive change to support the College’s mission. Develops and carries out communication procedures for disseminating University and College directives related to human resources and faculty/staff development and advancement. Serves in the absence of the Assistant Dean in HR matters. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and four years of experience related to an administrative services; or a high school diploma/equivalent and eight years of experience. (

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.) Preferred Qualifications Ability to train and supervise employees. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Knowledge of principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation. Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
