POSITION PURPOSE/OBJECTIVE

Assists the Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources in the overall management of the Human Resources function to oversee recruitment.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Conduct research on a wide variety of subjects as requested. Shares ownership of promoting, communicating, and organizing Resort fundraising efforts Recruits for all open positions. Administers job postings in a timely and efficient manner. Lists all exempt and non-exempt positions with various agencies, organizations, schools and selected publications. Performs initial screening interview with qualified candidates to assess individual’s experience, ability and interest in an available position. Refers qualified candidates for further interview and consults with department managers as to status of interviewed candidates. Ensures that all paperwork such as applicant interview evaluation form is completed properly. Authorizes / processes paperwork for all new hires. Maintains current staffing guidelines by administering requisition tracking system. Maintains current job descriptions and ensures compliance with ADA. Ensures managers with interviewing responsibility are trained in interviewing techniques in accordance with the law. Directs managers in interviewing techniques using methods such as verbal presentations and written directions to ensure the hiring and retention of qualified employees. Assists in or prepares periodic reports related to the Human Resources function such as labor turnover, EEO, through the use of moderately complex computer system and written reports. Develops and maintains recruiting sources by attending job fairs, inviting agency representatives to the hotel, and participating in local agency and school advisory boards and events. Coordinates internships and externships with local schools. Demonstrates actions and behavior that reinforce the Company’s Mission, Vision and Pillars of Success, Passion, Drive and Enthusiasm. Promotes positive public/associate relations at all times. Performs other duties as assigned. Develop, implement and administer all associate benefits programs to the management team and all associates. Resolves associate requests, questions, and directs complex situations or complaints to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and/or Director of Human Resourrces. Performs a broad range of administrative details of a highly confidential nature on a regular basis, requiring initiative and judgment to make independent decisions for which probably errors could result in unnecessary costs. Responsible for conducting a monthly benefit orientation meeting to give information to any associate eligible for benefits. Administration of 401K to eligible associates.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company. Maintenance of filing system in accordance with the Record Retention policy. Ensures compliance by filing papers and documents into appropriate files in a timely manner. Preparation of special reports or projects, as requested. Attend all required meetings. Knowledge of and compliance with all Emergency procedures. Reports unsafe conditions, as appropriate. Maintains a safe clean work area, a neat and orderly fashion, and hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility. Support and help lead green/environmental program or initiatives of the resort/co. Support for all Workers’ Compensation processes (injury reporting, follow up with associate and clinic, maintain communication with insurance carrier). Other duties as assigned by management

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to read listens and communicates effectively in English and in writing, using correct grammar, spelling and sentence structure. Prepare official correspondence on behalf of management for both external and internal communications verbally and in writing. Ability to sit for extended periods of time and continuously performs the essential job functions. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy. Ability to type 60 wpm. Ability to effectively transcribe information from handwritten memos and recordings. Ability to work well with others.

OTHER DUTIES

Assimilate into Trump National Doral Miami Cultural Foundation through understanding, supporting and participating in all elements of the Trump Cornerstones. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

EDUCATION High School graduate or equivalent preferred. Additional training and education is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE

Requires 2+ years of administrative support experience, preferably in the HR, with at least 1 year in a leadership/supervisory role. Experience with MS Office applications and Outlook required. Previous work experience should include working in a high-volume environment.

GROOMING/UNIFORMS

All associates must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process. Trump National Doral participates in the federal E-Verify program, an electronic system that verifies employment authorization in the United States by comparing information from an employee’s Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, with government databases. The company uses E-Verify only after an employee has accepted a job offer and completed the Form I-9. The company does not use E-Verify to pre-screen job applicants or candidates who have not received a job offer from the company.
