Description General Description:

The Assistant Director, Talent Acquisition, Development and Accountability (TADA) assists the department in select aspects of employee recruitment and retention, compensation, benefits administration, staff development and training, employee relations, and compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to human resource (HR) and personnel matters. Additionally, this position maintains select administrative responsibilities in support of institutional effectiveness. The position supports the management of the overall day-to-day administrative functions of the TADA Office. The Assistant Director reports to the Director, TADA.

Examples of Duties Essential Job Duties:

Maintains Banner (employees, jobs, and benefits) and Revver (general human resource/personnel document storage) databases. Ensures compliance with recordkeeping requirements. Performs records disposition as required and in accordance with College procedure.
Drafts exit packets for terminated employees, including preparing vacation pay outs for review and all required retirement and/or COBRA paperwork for Director review. Assists in recruiting efforts serving as an HR analyst in the online hiring platform for part-time personnel. Serve as the primary TADA liaison to the Business Office for payroll purposes. Makes necessary changes to ensure smooth payroll. Support TADA with the annual fiscal year-end roll process.
Responsible for employment verification/reference check for past/current/future employees as requested.
Assists TADA in the annual tracking, collection, and recording of annual Executive, Administrative, Professional, and Career Evaluations and personnel contracts.
Facilitates TADA reporting, including, Florida Department of Revenue New Hire and Termination reports, maintenance of employment demographic snapshot data, Department of Labor Statistics, Annual Sick Leave Pool, Annual Service Awards, Faculty Rank, Employee Contact Info, and other Banner processes.
Runs maintenance reports for the background check process and performs follow up with all employees to ensure compliance with institutional policy and procedure. Reports non-compliance to Director, TADA, as needed.
Supports the Director, TADA in the development and assessment of the College’s Strategic Plan.
Assists the

AD, TADA

(IE/HR) with administration of the student course evaluation process; including, but not limited to, facilitation of the distribution and collection process, administration of the surveys, utilization of survey equipment and software, and dissemination of results, as needed. Supports the Director, TADA through development, implementation, and analysis of online surveys utilizing the College’s electronic surveying software as they relate to employees (i.e., post-convocation survey, post-professional day survey, employee climate, etc.…).
Serves as training backup for the

AD, TADA

(IE/HR) for use of online survey tools for collection of data, including, but not limited to, Regular and Substantive Change, Online Course Checklists, QEP assessments.
Assists in the preparation of the Annual Salary Schedule and Organizational Charts. Maintains the Notice of Non-Discrimination, makes changes as required, and ensures postings are current at the main campus and middle and upper keys centers.
Coordinates, collects, and analyzes institutional employment data, as needed.
Stays abreast of changes in human resources policies and procedures; maintains knowledge of current trends, events, and emerging issues; and identifies information, programs, and resources useful to the Office of TADA.
Assists in processes as necessary, such as participation in hiring and onboarding of new employees and keeping up-to-date job descriptions. Completes data entry processes related to the per-term load letters, adjunct, overload, and independent study contracts. Develops employee communications for employee announcements such as wellness events, training sessions, employee parties, etc.
Assists in College recruitment and retention efforts, as appropriate.
Required to attend Graduation/Commencement ceremonies. Performs other related duties as assigned. (These essential job functions are not to be construed as a complete statement of all duties performed. Employees will be required to perform other job-related marginal duties as required.)

Education and Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field, master’s degree preferred.
Three (3) years progressively responsible experience in the areas of duties described above, preferred.
Experience in the postsecondary setting, preferred. (A comparable amount of training, education, or experience can be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
