Job Description

Human Resources Director Menorah House 9945 Central Park Boulevard North, Boca Raton, FL 33428 We are seeking a passionate Human Resources Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the Human Resources Department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as directed by the Administrator, to assure that quality personnel are interviewed, trained, and employed.

Duties:

Review all requests from department directors for new or replacement personnel, fill requests as approved, etc. Check applications & references of prospective employees and arrange for interviews with department directors as required or requested Maintain an adequate personnel record filing system that meets the needs of the facility and complies with current employment practices Ensure hiring into/discharge from position are in compliance with established policies Conduct employee background checks in accordance with the facility’s procedures and/or any other applicable federal, state, and local standards and guidelines Orient new personnel to facility and explain the policies, payroll procedures, safety protocols, Resident’s Rights, etc. of the facility Counsel, recommend disciplinary action, and/or discipline staff as requested or as necessary Conduct exit interviews and record data with correct personnel records Maintain a good employee relations program that serves the best interest of the facility, staff, and residents Maintain confidentiality of all employee information Maintain and process payroll Report any known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure of confidential information Perform Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) submission on a quarterly basis Assist in maintaining/updating employee benefits Manage all worker’s comp claims Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred, but not required MUST have a minimum of 2 years experience in HR Administration MUST possess a thorough knowledge of the laws, regulations, and guidelines concerning HR Administration of personnel in nursing care facilities MUST have experience working in a nursing home/long term care facility or similar work experience MUST have experience with AHCA regulations and survey MUST have experience submitting for Payroll Based Journal (PBJ) MUST have knowledge of HR/Payroll software Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workload efficiently Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Adobe PDF, and office equipment such as copiers, scanners, etc.

Physical Demands:
