$45.9K – $56.9K a year 2 days ago Qualifications Workers’ compensation law Management Mid-level Human resources Full Job Description Summary-The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the administration of the employment function, legal compliance, working with managers and monitoring staff regarding employment practices for ALPI. Coordinates recruitment and em-ployment activities with all staff and ensures legal compliance. Assist the Director in performing a variety of routine and complex human resources and risk management, technical and professional work; and analyzing and administering vari-ous components of the human resources systems of the agency, to include but not limited to recruitment and place-ment, performance management, workers compensation, safety, background and employee screenings, insurance cover-age, drug screening and training. Essential Duties and responsilbilties ? Assists in the review of employment applications and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants as assigned. ? Ensures all request for personnel and job descriptions are completed prior to posting an open position. May set up interviews for managers and may conduct screening interviews and recommend hiring decisions. ? Reviews employment invoices and contracts for temporary staff before submitting to HR Director. ? Conducts background checks on all volunteers and new hires. Sets up pre-employment physical. Conducts reference checks. ? Reviews all salary issues as they relate to new hires, transfers, promotions to insure internal equity. ? Create offer letters, responsible for new hire on-boarding process. Represents ALPI at job fairs and establishes relationships with college educators for recruiting purposes. ? Conducts exit interviews. Ensures agreements and required process followed for staff and volunteers. ? Processes employment applications, position requisitions, reviews vacancy lists and recruitments submitted by de-partments; verifies requisitions are complete. ? Develops, posts, and advertises position vacancies as assigned; assists in the coordination of recruitment, interview-ing and selection processes. Keeps records of applicants mot selected for employment. ? Assists in the review of employment applications and evaluates work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants as assigned. ? Corresponds with job applicants to notify them of employment consideration. Assists in gathering background and reference check information on candidates. ? Schedules new hires for post-offer physicals; answers questions from new hires regarding policies, benefits, and schedules; conducts new hire orientation and processes all pertinent documents. ? Prepares and files reports of accidents and injuries at establishment. ? Assist in the severity, and measures financial impact of risk to the agency. ? Assist in the selection of appropriate technique to minimize loss such as avoidance, loss prevention and reduction, retention, grouping of exposure units, and transfer. ? Maintains worker?s compensation, student accident claims, and legal documentation. ? Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier. Processes Worker?s Compensation and Disability information; sends Worker?s Compensation and other packets to employees and ensures all necessary information is collected; tracks Worker?s Compensation timesheets to verify payment options, leave balances, and completeness of timecards; generates and sends Workers? Compensation reports to Director. ? Prepares correspondence, reports, memorandums, charts, tables and documents in human resources. ? Assists in evaluating services, coverage, and options available through insurance and investment companies to deter-mine programs best meeting needs of agency. Assists in insurance negotiations, selection of insurance brokers and carriers. Prepares operational and risk reports for management. ? Assists in the administration of the employee performance appraisal system and Professional Development Plans for employees ? Assists in reviewing agency documents for risk management and loss control considerations. ? Assists in technical information on insurance programs, risk, safety and loss control issues. ? Assists in processing and investigating all claims for damages; prepares claim and lawsuit information for attorneys and insurance claims adjusters and others.
