Job Description

Human Resources & Payroll Assistant Manager
1450 West Ave.
Cartersville, GA The Human Resources & Payroll Assistant Manager will work directly with the HR Manager, supporting three manufacturing plants, and will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department. This includes assisting in recruiting and onboarding staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, conducting investigations, and enforcingpany policies and practices for a multi-site manufacturingpany.

Work Experience Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
A minimum of five years of Human Resource Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
SHRM or HRCI certification is highly desired.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, includingpensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; recognition and morale; training and development.
Coordinates employee engagement and recognition programs/activities.
Reviews, tracks, and documentspliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments
Assists in recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating hiring qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills andpetencies required for openings.
Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications and implements new hire orientation.
Process payroll using Paylocity andplete month-end payroll activities.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and management, referringplex and/or sensitive matters appropriately.
Assists in conducting employee investigations, disciplinary meetings, and terminations.
Maintainspliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and rmends best practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
