SAFETY MANAGER/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS MANAGER

Purpose:
The Safety Manager/Employee Relations Manager(ERM) assists cultivating team work driven workforce, while ensuring the safety of the work environmen ts. Responsibilities for
ERM:
Employee Recruitment(Hiring), counseling, & termination. Administration & coordinating of background checks, drug screenings, MVRS, Onboarding, orientation & disciplinary issues. Safety training for new hires and existing employees. Consult with the superintendents and/or upper management for hourly merit increase when appropriate. Driver qualifications- driver license classification for the vehicle being driven, correct training, medical cards. Responsibilities for
Safety Manager:
Uphold & adhere to OSHA standards Evaluate the workplace & jobsites for safety risk.
Monitor vehicle camera data for:
incidents, driving habits, accidents. Accident/Incident investigation, documentation, police reports. Administrator/oversee & BPC training programs. Daily JSA’s for all crews Administrator safety training(meetings/classes) Order & Maintain safety supplies(PPE), first aid kits, fire extinguishers, signs. Review and update company safety handbook Communicate with the superintendents & foreman, & all employees the importance of a clean work environment, equipment. Refer any equipment maintenance issues for safety to shop superintendent or foreman. Formulate plans to address training needs and gaps with superintendents, COO & CEO. Meet with company leadership regularly with company leadership to discuss personnel needs, disciplinary actions, & performance management.
