About the Role The HR Manager drives HR strategies and practices that foster a high-performance, employee-centered culture aligned with organizational goals. This role ensures compliance with labor laws, develops innovative policies, and provides strategic guidance to leadership on all facets of the employee lifecycle. In collaboration with the Employee Experience team, the HR Manager enhances internal initiatives, strengthens employee engagement, and manages cost-effective benefits programs to support a thriving and dynamic workplace. Primary Responsibilities Human Resources Developing organization strategies by identifying and researching human resources issues; and contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to organization strategic thinking and direction. Implementing human resources strategies, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO/ADA compliance, and labor relations. Regulatory compliance and reporting, including but not limited to, EEO-1 (annually) and affirmative action. Guides management, in collaboration with General Counsel when necessary, by researching, developing, writing, auditing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines. Prepares and analyzes reports on a variety of applicable HR metrics, including annual performance reviews, dashboards, scorecards and gap analysis. Working knowledge of and complies with existing labor laws including Equal Employment Opportunity, Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Affirmative Action Plan, Department of Labor, Fair Labor Standards Act, etc. Handles (engages General Counsel when necessary) unemployment claims, employee complaints and grievances. In collaboration with the Safety Team, champion the Return-to-Work policy following any personal leave event by an employee. Champion the HRIS (Bamboo) and regularly analyze and make recommendations for future platform opportunities. Prepare offer letters and new hire packets (all necessary paperwork, in collaboration with Finance Team) to onboard a new employee. Support terminations (lead when necessary) and prepare the associated paperwork and processing to offboard. Manage all FMLA and non-FMLA administration. Leads third party coordination for the processing of drug screens (pre-employment and randoms), fit for duty, physical examinations and background checks. Benefits & Wellness Provide leadership and strategic direction for benefits and wellness programs to ensure they align with company goals and remain competitive and cost-effective. Manage the day-to-day operations of the Company’s health plan and dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans. Ensure all plans are administered in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities also include new hire enrollments, open enrollment periods, and processing qualifying life events. Collaborate with third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and benefits consultants to optimize plan performance, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues. Ensure all benefits programs comply with relevant laws and regulations, such as ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, and COBRA. Assist in the preparation and filing of necessary reports, including Forms 1095, 5500, and other regulatory documentation. Monitor and analyze claims data to identify trends, manage costs, and ensure the financial sustainability of any self-insured plan(s). Work with our internal team and third-party administrators to resolve complex claims issues. Analyze benefits data to assess plan performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. Prepare regular reports for executive team on plan utilization, cost trends, and other key metrics. Core Competencies Organization & Planning

Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related filed. 8+ years of Human Resources experience. Knowledge of employee health and wellness benefits (medical, dental, vision, short-term disability, long-term disability, life and accidental death and dismemberment, etc.). Knowledge of state and federal family and medical leave laws, including the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). The ability to maintain confidentiality. The ability to provide high-quality customer service. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
