Job Summary Part-time HR Manager
Location:
Onsite in Newton (3 days/week) A community organization in Newton, MA, is looking for a part-time HR Manager to join their team. This role will work 20-25 hours/week, with flexibility for working 3 full days or 4-5 shorter days onsite.
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws; maintain and update HR policies, including the employee handbook
Support payroll changes and benefits administration, including health insurance and retirement plans
Lead recruitment and onboarding by managing job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, onboarding paperwork, and new hire orientation
Develop and maintain a training schedule, assist in performance review processes, and support employee development initiatives
Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, workplace issues, and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
4+ years of HR experience
Significant knowledge of employment laws & HR compliance
