Human Resources Manager Non-Profit Milton, MA 02186 Position Overview A school is seeking a Talent Recruitment and Human Resources Manager to lead the recruitment, hiring, and retention of exceptional educators and staff. This individual will oversee all aspects of talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, and HR compliance, helping to cultivate a thriving and diverse school culture. The HR Manager will play a key role in fostering an inclusive and high-performing workplace aligned with the school’s mission. Key Responsibilities Talent Recruitment & Hiring Develop and implement strategic recruitment plans to attract high-quality candidates. Manage the full-cycle hiring process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Build relationships with universities, professional organizations, and community groups to strengthen the talent pipeline. Lead the teacher induction program in compliance with Department of Education requirements. Ensure the hiring process promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion. Onboarding & Employee Engagement Oversee onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires. Design and facilitate professional development initiatives to support staff growth and retention. Collaborate with leadership to foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Human Resources Management Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, licensure, certifications, and background checks. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Serve as a key contact for employee relations, workplace concerns, and conflict resolution. Support performance evaluation and provide HR consultation to leadership. Compensation, Benefits & Compliance Coordinate payroll in collaboration with the finance team. Administer employee benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Ensure adherence to all labor laws and internal employment policies. Conduct HR audits and manage personnel records according to best practices. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred). At least 3 years of experience in HR, talent acquisition, or related roles (experience in education or nonprofit sectors is a plus). In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Strong commitment to educational equity and the mission of serving a diverse school community. $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
