POSITION

Director of Human Resources

REPORTS TO

Superintendent of Schools

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Non-union, Twelve-month, 3 days per week (.6 FTE) Interim Position

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Competitive SUMMARY:

Oversees all human resources functions within the school district, ensuring effective and efficient operations. Provides guidance to all district staff regarding Human Resources functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Masters degree CAGS or Doctorate in area of competence preferred Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsMinimum of 5 years of experience managing personnelStrong background in Human ResourcesKnowledge of educator licensure and DESE requirementsCompetence in compliance with DESE, State and Federal laws and regulations regarding students, school and district accountabilityEffective conflict resolution skills

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

(include but are not limited to the following): -Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, on boarding, compensation, benefits and retention of highly qualified, diverse staff in all program areas including substitute teachers-Partners with the Superintendent to resolve labor/employee relations issues-Provides ongoing support to district administrators regarding personnel-Takes the lead in employee relations and compliance with laws and regulations-Plays a key role in developing and implementing HR strategies that support the school’s overall mission and goals-Serves as the District Title IX Coordinator and works collaboratively with the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Director to respond to inquiries regarding non-discrimination policies-Coordinates and monitors supervision and evaluation of all teachers according to the DESE Model System for Educator Evaluation Performs other duties as assigned by the Superintendent
