Workday Full Job Description Position Summary:

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) is a strategic and hands-on role that provides full-spectrum HR support across multiple manufacturing sites in MA and CT, including one unionized facility. This role partners with site and operations leadership to drive HR initiatives that align with business goals and foster a high-performance, compliant, and engaged workforce. The HRBP will serve as a key liaison between plant leadership and corporate HR functions, ensuring the consistent application of HR policies, processes, and programs across locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a strategic advisor and partner to operations leaders at assigned sites, providing guidance on workforce planning, talent development, and engagement. Build strong partnerships with both union and non-union employee populations, addressing site-specific needs while maintaining consistency with overall company HR strategy. Support the union facility by collaborating with Corporate HR Director, facility management, and union representatives, administering the collective bargaining agreement, and participating in grievance processes as needed. Lead employee relations efforts across all assigned sites, ensuring timely, fair, and legally compliant resolution of issues and promoting a culture of transparency and trust. Support hourly staffing efforts by partnering with HR Generalist and operations to ensure proper coverage, retention, and workforce planning in line with production demands. Drive performance management, including coaching leaders on feedback, reviews, disciplinary actions, and development plans. Promote employee engagement through proactive communication, recognition initiatives, and support for site-level cultural programs in partnership with HR Generalist and Employee Engagement Committee. Support corporate HR in rolling out company-wide programs (e.g., annual merit planning, benefits enrollment, policy updates, learning & development). Monitor compliance with labor and employment laws across jurisdictions and ensure all policies and practices meet regulatory and internal standards. Track and analyze site-specific labor metrics to identify trends and recommend actions for improvement in retention, absenteeism, engagement, and performance. Coordinate and support organizational changes, restructures, and transition planning at the site level.

Work Environment:

This role is primarily based on-site with regular travel to additional manufacturing locations. Exposure to both office and production floor environments; appropriate PPE may be required in certain areas.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field HR certification (PHR/SPHR or

SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP

) preferred. 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including direct support of multi-site manufacturing operations and at least one unionized environment. Demonstrated experience interpreting and administering collective bargaining agreements and working collaboratively with union representatives. Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws. Proven ability to build strong working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Hands-on and solutions-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms (e.g., Paycom, Workday, ADP, etc.). Willingness to travel regularly to assigned sites in MA and CT (approximately 35-40% travel depending on business needs).
