Overview:
Life Engagement Partner RiverWoods is currently hiringfor a Part Time Activities Assistant, what we call a LifeEngagement Partner. You will work with our residents towardsleading a more active lifestyle and engage in programs and fun hereat our campus. The ideal candidate will have a background in Artsand/or entertainment and have a passion for working with people.
This is a 20 hour a week position. We’re especially looking tostrengthen our weekend coverage, and during the week, your supportwill be most valuable during the midday peak hours. Typical shiftswould run mid morning (10am) to mid afternoon (3:00pm-3:30pm) ormid
- afternoon (3pm) to early evening (7pm) with a variety of daysavailable Monday
- Sunday.

Educationassistance Responsibilities:
This position will assist in theplanning, implementation, and evaluation of recreational, social,intellectual, emotional and spiritual programs, in accordance withthe resident’s assessment and care plan, as may be directed by LifeEngagement Managers. Provides quality customer service with apositive attitude and commitment to teamwork while meeting theneeds of residents, staff and visitors. Supports all aspects of theRiverWoods community. Assist in planning, developing, organizing,implementing and evaluating the activities program of the facility.
Implement activity procedures as directed by the Life EngagementManager by creating decorations, setting up necessary equipment andcrafts, escorting residents to and from activity areas, andawarding prizes, assist in scheduling residents for activities,supervise activities as necessary. Encourage residents toparticipate in activities, promote conversations with residents ona regular basis, routinely visit residents, conduct individualand/or group activities to encourage purpose and meaning in thelives of the residents. Participate in a quality assurance programfor the activity department, as requested; participate in facilitysurveys (inspections) conducted by authorized government agenciesas necessary.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
