The Sr Director, HR Project Management, is a new role that will lead transformational initiatives shaping the future of work in GXO’s AMAPAC region. They will drive integration efforts, overseeing planning, execution, and success monitoring of key programs. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they will foster an inclusive, productive environment while developing and executing strategic management plans/playbooks that reinforce the organization’s values and ethical decision-making. This position will be responsible for upholding HR project management standards and processes, embodying the project management excellence. What you’ll do on a typical day: Lead and support our HR Target Operating Model using various methods, including serving as an expert professional resource providing guidance, and recommendations to effectively manage projects’ terms to drive financials and resource management
Lead teams with creating and enhancing playbooks and standards for regional and select global functional projects
Direct cross-functional projects, with a key focus on due diligence processes to consistently ensure project success
Help prioritize concurrent initiatives and workstreams through to successful completion.
Assess GXO’s culture and readiness for change, delivering often sensitive insights to Leadership in a way that builds confidence and spurs action
Develop communication strategies and simultaneously execute a variety of tactics to reach all relevant stakeholders with timely and consistent information related to project updates, key announcements, policy and process changes, organizational changes and be able to organize – and often visualize – strategies in a variety of formats to ensure understanding of responsibilities and adherence to timelines
Establish a community of practice that connects Project Managers, fosters knowledge sharing, facilitates communication and collaboration, and strengthens the expertise and capabilities of the community
Serve as a subject matter expert on HR’s project management processes, tools, and expectations for delivery, regulatory compliance and implementation
Communicate with program managers to train, exchange ideas, address project challenges and discuss best practices
Identify factors that could jeopardize critical paths of projects. Develop and execute risk mitigation plans.
Partner with business and HR leaders to drive and deliver on the people journey map
Oversee day-to-day operations of all HR projects related to the HR Journey map applying structured methodology to lead culture transformation/change management activities
Frequently interact with senior leaders, executives and other stakeholders to represent HR regional transformation initiatives on broader cross-functional projects involving other parts of the business as needed
Develop key performance indicators; analyze and interpret overall performance and track key business development objectives and strategic initiative What you need to succeed at

At a minimum, you’ll need Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience
10 years relevant experience driving organizational transformation through global initiatives
Min of 3 years of PMO experience with a PMP Certification
Prior experience successfully organizing and leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects to foster strong collaboration and teamwork in demanding environments
Experience organizing, planning, and managing high-priority projects from concept through implementation
Ability to lead, inspire and advise a diverse group of professionals regionally
Proficiency with various project management tools (e.g. Smartsheet, MS Project, Basecamp, Newforma)
Data Analytics and corresponding systems development
Ability to problem solve, manage conflict, and build relationships with people at all levels of the organization
Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytics and project managment capabilities It’d be great if you also have: Proven track record of developing and implementing action-oriented innovative project management discipline to strengthen organizations and workplace processes
Demonstrated ability to track, manage and multiple projects with adjacent initiatives with keen attention to detail
Stronger consideration will be given to candidates with experience on large complex global projects
