The system enrolls over 500,000 students annually. It is the 3rd largest in the nation based on the number of colleges. It also provides data to the North Carolina Learning Object Repository by collecting, contributing, and sharing digital learning resources for use in traditional or distance learning environments. The selected candidate for this role is expected to have a general knowledge of all HR functions. Position will work with and assist the HR Director in their absence. This is a very broad role which serves an agency of approximately 230 employees.

Some key duties are:

Serve as the Leave Administrator Serve as the Benefits Representative Serve as the Time Administrator Serve as the agency’s Worker’s Comp Administrator which is responsible for administering an effective and efficient workers’ compensation program. Assist the Director with employee relations issues and grievances. Position performs other duties as assigned to facilitate the accomplishment of goals and objectives. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. Qualified candidates must document on the application that they possess all of the following: Extensive experience performing actions in SAP (Fiori) Experience with Leave administration within North Carolina state government Experience with Time Administration in SAP (Fiori) Experience with Benefits administration within North Carolina state government Demonstrated knowledge of the interpretation and application of federal laws and State HR laws, policies and practices governing HR.
