Asthe Manager, Patient Advocacy you will lead and managerelationships with key U.S. and Canada advocacy organizations,while designing and implementing strategies and programs thatsupport the goals of Merz Therapeutics and the patient communitieswe serve.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Partner with Director of Corporate Communications to own andmanage relationships with new and existing key U.S. and Canadapatient advocacy organizations. Identify, initiate, and lead the design and implementation ofpatient advocacy strategies, initiatives and programs withoversight from Director, Corporate Communications. Ensure timely communication on projects, includingsponsorships, campaigns, with internal and externalstakeholders. Collaborate cross-functionally to amplify programs and supportthrough internal and external communications platforms. Measure success of activities and initiatives, includinginternal and external events, campaigns and other programs. Manage all aspects of Patient Advocacy’s sponsorships to ensurecompliance with internal processes and SOPs; partner with Legal andCompliance team, as needed. Manage Patient Advocacy budget; liaise with Finance team,patient organizations, vendors, etc. to ensure spending aligns withallocated funds and is tracked appropriately. Ensure all patient advocacy initiatives and programs align withMerz Therapeutics’ commitment to serving the patient communities inour therapeutics areas of focus Other duties as assigned.
Job Related Qualifications/Skills Bachelors degree required. Prior pharmaceutical/biotechnology, agency and/or advocacyorganization experience required. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant work experience required. Strong written & presentation skills. Strong communication & organizational skills. Proven track record of successful interactions with patientadvocacy groups. Comfort with managing multiple projects at a timerequired. Ability to foster strong relationships with external andinternal stakeholders required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required.
